All Inclusive Properties in Mexico and the Caribbean
With limited capacities at restaurants, mask requirements and strict cleaning protocols, All-Inclusive properties keep it simple! Travelers don't have to worry about where they are going to dine or grab cocktails. Activities day and night keep everyone entertained. Plus, staying on resort grounds can provide peace of mind so everyone can enjoy themselves...and it makes budgeting a breeze!
There are 2 categories of All Inclusive properties (in my opinion).
1 - Traditional All Inclusive's. These are properties that market themselves as such.
2 - "Buy Up Option" properties. These resorts offer rates for accommodations only AND rates for an all inclusive option.
There are countless properties worth mentioning in both of categories. Talking with a travel advisor is the first place to start. He/she can help identify properties that fit YOU by asking specific questions. Adult only? Family friendly? Quiet or bustling? Food vs Fun? You're advisor can help navigate the countless options and in many cases introduce you to a property you haven't seen on a "google search".
A couple of my favorite "Traditional" all inclusive properties:
Grand Velas (Rivera Maya), Le Blanc Resort and Spa (Cabo and Cancun), Beaches (Turks and Caicos), Waves Hotel and Spa (Barbados), Secrets Wild Orchid (Jamaica)
Paradisus Palma Real and Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana (Dominican Republic)
My favorite "Buy Up Option" properties: Casa de Campo (Dominican Republic), Fairmont Mayakoba (Riviera Maya), Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Property (St. Lucia)
STAY TUNED for Part 4: Traveling During A Pandemic. Should I or should I not?
