St Lucia - Let Her Inspire You

After years of dreaming, I finally got to St. Lucia! I crossed my fingers hoping the island would match what I had created in my mind. Did it ever!

St Lucia speaks to my soul and is the ultimate "Peak to Beach" escape.

You can find every type of resort property here - small boutiques, massive all inclusive, ultra luxe resorts, villas and of course the famous open air properties. Getting to most resorts will take 30 minutes to an hour and a half by car. If you can swing it, arriving by water taxi is much more exciting!

The "South/West Side" of the island hosts a lot of my favorites - Ladera, Sugar Beach, Jade Mountain and Coconut Bay.

- Ladera (an adult only property), stole the show with their open air rooms and sweeping views of the Pitons on each side. It oozes charm and luxury with some of the most friendly staff I have met. You can choose from an EP or All inclusive plan here. Golf carts whisk you away to your private "haven" and are available 24/7. A new 18,000 sq. ft spa will be complete by the end of the month and will add to what is already perfection.

- Sugar Beach (family friendly property) sits just down the hill from Ladera on the water. This gem is top notch without feeling stuffy and has a little bit of everything to keep young and old alike entertained. The stand out - THE SPA! Unlike anything I have ever seen, you enter through a long passage into another world. Just when you think it can't get any better, you stumble upon an old sugar mill that has been turned into a steam room! Upon exiting it is said that you are "reborn" into the world with a new perspective.

- Jade Mountain (an adult only property) is known as the Golden Balcony. The unique design allows guests to see out of their room without anyone being able to look in. No need for curtains or blinds here - it's ultra-luxe but back to nature!

The "North/West Side" of the island hosts other favorites - Cap Maison, BodyHoliday, The Landings and Royalton.

- Cap Maison - This family owned boutique property has only 49 rooms and is ideal for couples. Many of the rooms have their own rooftop terraces and pools with incredible views. Staying at this property in combination with Ladera creates the ultimate "Peak to Beach" experience. They even have a package appropriately named for it.
