Sailing away from one short day in St Kitts and Nevis, I hope to return soon. Both are former British territories who gained their independence in 1983. Today was spent getting the inside scoop on the best beaches and adventures, along with the top fine dining spots and favorite local dive bars with the help of the local tourism boards.
Two of my favorite properties were the Park Hyatt on St. Kitts and the Four Seasons in Nevis.
The Park Hyatt - the best phrase to describe the resort - "in perfect balance". My pictures don't do it justice. The buildings appear to be carved into the landscape. The spa is out of this world - by far the most "zen"
I have ever felt (operated by Miraval) . An added bonus - a yoga studio inside an old sugar mill. When inside, your breath comes to life.
The Four Seasons - approaching the end of a multi-million dollar renovation, this property is the perfect place to escape - quiet and peaceful with a splash of activities like golf, tennis, watersports, spa and a super fun kids program. Its a great place to reconnect with family and friends. The new pool and restaurants will be open by Thanksgiving!
